VALORANT Champions 2024 Seoul

EVS LSM-VIA Operator | July 31 - August 25, 2024
Project Overview
"Champions is the final event of the VALORANT Champions Tour and represents the culmination of the competitive VALORANT season. Throughout the year, the top teams from around the world compete through their respective International Leagues to qualify by placing at the top of their league or earning the highest Championship points throughout the season." - Riot Games

The event was held in Seoul, South Korea, while the broadcast was operated out of the Project Stryker remote broadcast center in Seattle, WA.

I worked under Gravity Media to provide services for both the Riot Games world feed and the official English broadcast on this event.
My Contributions
As an EVS Operator for the show, I was responsible for:
- Operating a 10 in / 2 out EVS LSM-VIA workstation
- Pretapes for interviews (with typical pad adjustment and audio editing)
- Replays of player reactions and fan reactions
- Building complex B-Roll packages to supplement analyst desk segment conversations about particular game/player/team moments & strategies, including utilizing EVS XtraMotion to highlight 'game of inches'-style moments
- Building and playback of ad hoc playlists for team goodbyes and other themes & moments (such as fans enjoying venue hot dogs and popcorn, which became a fan participation segment throughout the event)
